Collect any clippings from magazines of ideas that you like, a picture is worth a thousand words and it helps us visualize the look you are striving for. Based on this information, we will offer you some guidance to help you make your dream kitchen a reality. Once you have made a decision as to the details of your kitchen we will present you with an estimate & 3D perspective drawings. This will give you a very real understanding of what your completed kitchen will look like. Our estimates include all installations, delivery and all necessary costs to complete your project.
The average kitchen takes between 2-8 days for cabinet installation, depending on the size and detail of your kitchen design. Once the cabinets have been installed we will arrange a time to come by and do a quartz template for your space. The fabrication of the stone will begin immediately and generally takes between 2-3 weeks before it is ready for installation, this time frame is all dependent on the number of jobs at that time. Your designer will be able to provide a more accurate time frame at the time of ordering.
The average consumer will spend on average about $12,000 on a kitchen renovation with Aurora Cabinetry & Floor Centre. This includes wood cabinets, solid stone countertops (with your choice of 4 different edge profiles), stainless steel under mount sink and all the installations associated. The overall cost however is all dependent on the size of your kitchen, cabinet style and counter top selection. Some extras that will add to the cost of a kitchen that you must consider are; crown moldings, crown to the ceiling, light rail, upgraded edge profiles, adding an island or peninsula, extra sink cut out, glass doors…etc.
It is recommended that the initial meeting takes place at our showroom as the designer will be able to better explain our products and options for your kitchen by showing examples throughout our displays. We ask you to do preliminary measurements yourself so we can give you a design and quote. A measurement is the final step that takes place before ordering, to confirm the design.

The cabinet hardware comes with a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty and the cabinets come with a standard 1-year manufacturer’s warranty, however service calls can be made after this point for a small charge. Quartz warranties vary between manufacturers and can be found on their applicable websites.
Yes. We do offer additional contractor or builder discounts with proof of a business.
We can remove and disposal your existing cabinets but, we do however suggest that you can do this yourself to save the extra costs associated.
All quotes will show a breakdown of all materials and services, we however only provide the installation of the cabinets and countertops. Any electrical or plumbing work will need to be done by an outside contractor. We do however have a list of contractors, plumbers, tile installers and painters that our customers have used in the past that we can recommend. Some of them will even give additional discounts for Aurora Cabinetry customers!
All of our cabinet styles come as is, and are specific to each manufacturer. So the colors and styles are married together and cannot be interchanged.
These are available and a display of the items can be found in any of our showrooms. Hardware can be added to your kitchen quote or purchased separately. If your handles and knobs are ordered at the same time as the cabinets, and we are installing your kitchen we will install them at no extra charge.
No, as Aurora Cabinetry is a custom cabinetry company, we provide company specific products in colors and sizes.
Yes. Painting should be done prior to the cabinets being installed to prevent any getting onto the new cabinets and counter tops. There my be touch ups require after installation but our installers will do their best to prevent this.
We do have an array of hardwood, tiles, and backsplash available for purchase from our showrooms. These can be added to your overall kitchen quote or be purchased separately.
Once the kitchen cabinets are installed, a template can be done right away. This will then allow us to receive the intended stone slab and begin fabrication. Generally this takes between about 2 weeks depending on the line up of jobs we have at that time.
Granite is a natural stone which is quarried in blocks, cut into slabs, trimmed, layered and polished or honed for many uses including kitchen countertops. Each piece is unique due to its location of origin and the conditions and mineral elements that existed in its creation over millennia. Granite is a natural stone, and is there for porous to the absorption of stains and smells. To prevent this, and to maintain the original beauty of the stone granite must be cared for. Sealing your counter top creates a protective layer on the surface of the stone and must be down 2-3 times a year. Quartz is a man-made product, made up of 93% natural quartzite and polymer resins, generally creating a more uniform appearance. Unlike a natural stone like granite, it is virtually stain, scratch and chip resistant. This also makes for a maintenance free product, where sealing is unnecessary. Yes absolutely. However any time that walls or floors are disturbed, dust will result. Certain procedures are followed to limit this as much as possible. Some dust will always drift out of work areas, and you should take measures to protect your property. Electronic equipment, fine furniture, or other valuables should be covered or removed. We also recommend you set out an area for the installer to work, cutting does occur on site and generally the installer looks for a close-by outdoor area or garage to do this in.
